Hey everyone...I know i haven't posted anything in a long time, but that's all about to change now. I have decided that I am going to try to blog at least once a day from now on. I love blogging, so I don't even understand what me to stop in the first place. I got a lot to talk this year.
There are going to be a lot of changes that are going to be happening this year with me and I am so excited. I finally feel like I going somewhere with my life rather than just being in school. When I accomplish each goal, I will let you guys know, but as of right now I am excited and looking forward to the changes for this year.
Hope everyone is having a great day today. It is Friday after all, so definitely can't be bad for most of you. I, for one am looking forward to the weekend one because its Valentines this weekend and two because the sooner the weekend is finished the closer, I am going to be to going home (Toronto). The last time I was in Toronto was back in Dec for the holidays. I miss Toronto and have now come to the conclusion that no matter where in the world I live, Toronto will always be my home. I feel so comfortable as soon as I enter Toronto.
Anyways keep a lookout for the new things coming to this blog..until then take care

What can I say, I love this lip gloss ; )

Did anyone notice that eyeslipsface.com has increased their prices on some of the items to $2? I went on their website to get more of their Candy Shop Lip Gloss since mine are almost done and that's when I noticed that the price went up. I am not sure if its just this lip gloss, so if you guys see any other items with an increase in their price besides their studio line, pls let me know.

While I am at it let me just do a review on this lipgloss. I love it. It is so moisturizing on my lips. For $1 (or what it used to be) it is definitely a great buy. This one has lasted me close to a 9 months already with everyday use and I still have some product left. Its not as sticky as some of the other lip products that eyeslipsface.com has to offer. For $2 its still a great buy and I will be placing an order with them soon.

Am I the only one who is freaked out by this hair mask? Even though they claim that its not human, but animal placenta, I am still not too sure about this item.

What are your thoughts about this placenta hair mask?

So with the way the economy is going these days, most women opt to do their own nails because it's cheaper and saves time. These are the basic steps of doing your own manicure and pedicure.

Manicure:
1) Smooth nails with a nail buffer to even the nails out. Then rub cuticle oil (an alternative would be olive oil) to soften your cuticles and then gently push them back with cuticle pushers (can be found at drugstores). Wipe away the residue with a tissue. Then apply your basecoat. Many skip this step, but this step is important as it prevents discoloration of nails after applying dark nail polish. It also reduces the streaking.
2) Apply your choice of nail polish (2-3 coats).
3) Apply top coat
4) Let them dry on their own because blowing on them can cause bubbles.

* In case you get a chip just dot the chip with the same nail polish and then go over the entire nail with top coat.

Pedicure:
1) Remove calluses with foot file in shower. This is much easier when the skin is moist.
2) Cut your toenails to your desired length. Not too short cause then you risk the chances of ingrown nails. Then push cuticles down and wipe away the residue with tissue.
3) Sit in a chair and put your leg up on anything that is high to reach your toe nails. I find this way to be much more comfortable.
4) Apply 2-3 coats of nail polish
5) Finish off with top coat

You can do just about anything when your toe nail is drying since it won't smudge like your finger nails.

There you have it. Now you too can achieve salon type nails in the comfort of your own home.

Whoosh Shower Jelly
The only reason I went into Lush was for this baby. I heard so many great reviews on this shower jelly that I had to buy it for myself to try it out. I LOVE this product and will be buying it over and over again. Its amazing and a little does really go a very long way. Its quite pricey at $11.90 for 7 oz, but I ended up getting the 3.5 oz for $5.95. The only con is that if you don't freez this shower jelly it is extremely hard to handle in the shower. This lathers up sooooo nicely. I love it especially the smell. Definitely give this a try if you are ever in Lush.

Honey I Washed the Kids Soap

You can use the top (honeycomb) of the bar to exfoliate your skin and use the rest of the soap to wash your body. The smell is absolutely AMAZING! I LOVE the smell of this soap. It lasts well into the day. This is one bar of soap that I will be purchasing again for sure :) This soap is definitely worth it even though its a bit on the pricey side at $7.95 for 3.5oz.
Porridge Soap
This has such a warm smell to it, its hard for me to describe. I love it even though its a bit messy in your tub. Its $5.95 for about 3 oz which I think is a great deal. Cutting this soap into small pieces will make it last for a long time.

I Should Coco Soap
This bar of soap smell like the beach. Again, I LOVE the smell of this soap. It also lathers very well. The scent staying power is strong and you will still be able to smell the scent even after a few hours of taking a shower. The only con about this soap is that you won't be able to use it as an exfoliating soap because the coconut will disappear after several uses. Otherwise its a great soap. This soap is $7.95 for 3 oz, a bit pricey, but should last a while minus the exfoliating coconut.

Skin---Natural Remedy

1) Drinking 8 glasses of water a day can give you a natural glowing skin

2) 50 ml of cold milk, a pinch of salt and 2 teaspoons of lemon juice and use as a cleansing lotion. This will help clean the deep pores of the skin.

3) Take equal quantities of turmeric powder(yellow/orange paste you can get at Indian stores) and wheat flour and make a paste with sesame oil. Apply it to the face to remove unwanted hair. This has to be done over a period of time, but it definitely works.

4) You can use lemon juice and rub it all over the areas with blackheads and leave it overnight. This will reduce the number of blackheads over a period of time.

5) I saw this on Ellen one time on removing blackheads. Simply just put some white glue on your blackheads (the runny kind) and remove it once it dries hard. You will pull blackheads along with the glue. Pretty gross, but works.

6) Oatmeal is great for exfoliating. Mix oatmeal with honey or lemon and scrub your face with it. You will instantly see a difference in your complexion.

7) Eggs whites are another one of my favorites. The smell isn't so pleasant, but the results are definitely worth a try. Put 1 egg white in a bowl and wisk until they are runny and apply to your face. I LOVE the way this makes my face feel. I leave it on for about half an hour and wash it off with warm water. You will notice your face to be very tight and your pores won't be so visible either.

8) Acne??? No problem..add 3 tablespoons of dried basil leaves to 1 cup boiling water and let steep for 20 min. After it dries take some cotton balls and apply it to your face. I used this a lot back in the day..when I was a teenager . Geeesshhh I feel old just for writing that : (

9) Aloe Vera juice can be used as a skin refresher and it will soothe acne rashes and keep skin soft.

10) For oily skin, mix half cup cooked oatmeal, 1 egg white, 1 tablespoon lemon juice and half cup mashed apple into a smooth paste. Apply to your face and leave on for 30 min and rise.

Intro- Natural Remedies

Looking and feeling beautiful doesn't always have to cost a lot of money. It's as easy as going into your kitchen and using whatever you already have to give you that polished look.

I will be doing several posts titled Natural Remedies in which, I will write about different things you can do to take care of yourself the natural way. Some of these way, I have either tried before or am currently trying. I am only mentioning it to you before they have given me the results that I was looking for.

Before anything remember that diet plays a huge factor in how your body and mind work. The more green leafy vegetables, fruits, oats..etc. you eat, the more your body will take care of you in the long run. Regular exercise will be an added bonus to your health as well and of course the number one thing is DRINKING 8 GLASSES OF WATER EVERY SINGLE DAY. I know that there are some people out there who don't like the taste of water, but that is definitely no excuse to stop drinking it because there are many products that you can put in water to make it taste good.

Be positive, think positive and take care of your body and in the long run your body will definitely take care of you.
